felt a little guilty this morning for how much I had been prepared to just hate it here.
I had been pretty crabby towards the end about leaving my nice shady house and my mountain views and my favorite places.
But we really have been having an amazing time so far, heat and all. I even catch Dixie sunbathing from time to time :)
so here's to counting our blessings and loving the phase that we're in!
we don't go out without hats on most days :)
not that we really go anywhere but to our pool!
but we had a fun reason to leave the house today!
this young Soldier gave us a barn tour of the Horse Detachment.
Matt knew 1000x as much about horses as this guy.
He'd never been on one before six months ago when he joined the unit. So crazy to me
we did learn, though, that if they're branded with a star, its because they were raised in the Texas Penitentiary System in Huntsville! :)
