on the way to our first big VA hike!

ended up hiking eight miles today... boy were we beat!
Saw almost nobody on the majority of our hike.... but then of course at the scenic view overlook, we couldn't even get close enough to safely take a photo.
But we know we did it, and took some pretty shots along the way!
our hikes have varied a lot over the years, but one thing that doesn't change is that whoever is in the backpack goes to sleep :)
had to discuss "what is moss"
both big kids hiked the whole way themselves!
This was the most help Charlie had... I felt like a plow horse, but it helped her stay moving :)
